Our Mission
We believe in the dual dog, and we want to continue to with the history of the Brittany of being the #1 dual dog.
We encourage people to try out all the different avenue's available to the Brittany, trialling, testing, hunting, showing,
obedience, agility, tracking..........anything a versatile dog can do! As we all know a bored Brittany, is a mischievous

Our History
In 1991, my husband decided that he needed
a hunting dog. He wanted a pointing dog, so the dog could say “hey guy! The bird is here”, then my
husband would have a chance to shoot. There was a gentleman at my work who had Brittany’s, and he introduced us
to Don MacDonald, who was having his first litter of pups. We did research on the Brittany’s and really liked
what we read about them, and felt quite comfortable that a little dog would fit into our family. Smoking Joe Mac came
home shortly there after.
What we were not quite prepared for was the up heave; this
little dog would have on our lives! We had no clue that the pup we picked was from the National Champion, Aux-Arc’s
Mark, and the female, MicMac Apache Jessie, was a huge running bird finding dog. With credentials like this, it was
only fair, that certain people talked us into trying field trialing.
Field trialing turned into needing another dog for me, MacBrits
Smoking Jake to also compete with. Joining Clubs (Calgary Pointing Dog Club, The Brittany Spaniel Club of Canada) Then
came the Field Dog Tests, the Shoot to Retrieves, Dog Shows, more dogs, Kinwashkly Smoking Hank, and MacBrits Smoking Lil
Joe. Our lives took on a whole new meaning.
There is a member in our club who has a embroidered pillow,
and on it says “It all started with an $250.00 dog” Need I say anymore
